City to face Forest in FA Cup Semi-Finals

The FA Cup semi-finals will take place on the weekend of April 26 and 27 at Wembley Stadium. Manchester City defeated Bournemouth to set up a last-four matchup against Nottingham Forest.

Pep Guardiola wisely used his bench to lead Manchester City out of a difficult FA Cup encounter against Bournemouth and into the semi-finals for the third year in a row.

The Cityzens were on the verge of collapse at halftime, down to Evanilson's goal after Erling Haaland's penalty was saved, but the Catalans responded decisively.

Pep brought on Nico O'Reilly, and the inexperienced but exciting kid turned the game on its head, setting up Haaland to equalize and then laying off the ball for fellow replacement Omar Marmoush to put City ahead.

It was a typical game of two halves, with Bournemouth looking sure of reaching the semi-finals for the first time after an impressive 45 minutes, but they faded in the second half as City did what they do best and thoroughly controlled the second period.
