Latest Manchester United News: Before the showdown against Nottingham Forest

Latest Manchester United news, as Ruben Amorim will be hoping to welcome back some of his players for the Premier League showdown against Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has received a significant boost as a number of players have returned to training ahead of their Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.

Five players were caught training at Carrington this week. Three of the returning players are defenders Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, and Leny Yoro, while the other two are goalkeepers Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton.

This month's international break provided an opportunity for injured players to ramp up their efforts to regain full fitness for the final few weeks of the season. The Reds have been plagued by injuries this season, which has hampered their chances of success in the Premier League.

Despite a 3-0 victory against Leicester City before the break, United remains 13th in the table, with games against Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, and Newcastle United coming up in the coming weeks.

The major goal between now and the conclusion of the season will be to get players back as quickly as possible so they can participate in what remains of the Europa League. This is the most likely path for United to secure European football next season.
